SBS Modified
Styrene-Buradiene-Stryene, or SBS Modified Bitumen, is a durable asphalt-styled roof that is based on membranes that contain various modifiers and solvents. The membrane for an SBS Modified system is a polyester mat that is installed within the material itself, designed to provide reinforcement.
Why Use a SBS Modified System
SBS Modified commercial roofing systems are very durable and are puncture resistant. Due to the durability of this type of system, it is a great choice for any roof that receives a lot of foot traffic. This is also a much safer alternative to APP modified (torch down).

SBS Modified System Maintenance
Like any commercial roof system, it is very important that maintenance service is performed every five to seven years, or as required. J.E. Dixon Roofing’s Maintenance Programs are designed to upkeep and repair any minor issues that are found in the roof systems, such as splits, tears, open seams and open projections. It is important to prevent leaks before they occur or immediately after they are noted to prevent further damage.
